Introduction

The piano course is accordance to the examinations board of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). The course is tailor-made to the individual to learn the basic piano knowledge and performance technique. It is then aligned with the corresponding level of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Examination.

The basic piano course introduces the piano keys, the stave, the basic hand style, the use of basic fingering, the use of finger strength, the history of the piano development, rhythm and basic music theory. The course also let the student plays the music in order to master important technical types, such as scale, chromatic scale, broken chords, ornament, staccato, legato etc. The course will also focus on the sitting posture of the student to build a solid foundation to further music studies.

The advanced course focuses on coordination with the piano so that students can play advanced music. The course strengthens the independence and flexibility of the fingers, especially on the coordination with the fingers, wrist and arm technique. The course includes playing pieces with all music period in order to develop the expression of music and playing with technical skills. This can enhance students in all aspects of the piano playing art attainments.
